THE DDG1000 ZUMWALT DURING SEA TRIALS ALREADY PERFORMING YEOMAN SERVICE.

As reported in the Sunday edition of the News Briefing and copied in entirety:

"New stealth destroyer helps rescue fishermen"

"SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine - - The Navy's new stealth destroyer, the future USS Zumwalt, assisted in the rescue of a fisherman who had a medical emergency early Saturday off the Maine coast, officials said."

"A crew and a small boat from the Zumwalt - - the 600 foot, 15,000-ton warship - - transferred the man to the destroyer's deck, officials said. A helicopter crew the hoisted the patient on board and transported him to shore, where he was taken to a hospital."
