Arsenal I.

This is coolbert:

Before there was Bert there was Dr. Robert Farley.

Before there was Dreadnought 2018 there was BBG-72 USS Montana.

Arsenal ship surface ship battleship.

Thanks to the article as seen at the Internet web site Foxtrot Alpha and the tip from War on the Rocks.

"What A 21st Century Battleship Could Look Like"

The modern naval surface warfare supremacy vessel in the ancient and venerable manner.

Arsenal ship as describe by Dr. Farley to include as weaponry:

* Traditional naval gun of the AGS variety. * Electro-magnetic railgun. * Missiles using Vertical Launch System [VLS]. * High-power laser.

An brand-new arsenal warship possibly nuclear powered, armored, capable of deploying drones [but no VTOL warplanes] and a variety of sensors net-centric.

"Cost estimates for the cheapest version of the arsenal ship (without much in the way of defensive armament) ran between $500-$800 million per vessel."

THAT ESTIMATED COST SEEMS EXTREMELY LOW-BALL TO ME!

Consider also the CV of Dr. Farley:

"Rob Farley teaches national security and defense courses at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky. He is the author of Grounded: The Case for Abolishing the United States Air Force, and he literally wrote the Battleship Book.

WHEN DR. FARLEY SPEAKS OF BATTLESHIPS WE ALL NEED TO LISTEN.

YES, but can it fly?

coolbert.
